In addition to skiing, snowshoeing and ice climbing, Vail Valley also offers in the warmer months a beautiful selection of hiking trails through the White River National Forest. Year round, Vail Valley has a great selection of walking malls in each of its communities, a gondola in Lionshead Village, and a chair lift in Cascade Village, both in the immediate Vail area, for breathtaking rides up Vail Mountain. Vail Valley also offers a great selection of nightclubs, lodges, premier restaurants and hotels, open air farmers' markets, golf courses, swimming, paddle boating and fly-fishing.
